Welcome to White Crow Cider. We are Kenneth and Denise Gardner.

Our discovery of cider began in the summer of 2014. Kenneth spent three months working near Bristol, England and took the whole family along. We spent that sunny summer enjoying all Bristol had to offer and one of those delights was cider.  That region is well known for its abundance of craft cider. We were exposed to ciders unlike those available in Kansas at the time.

After returning home, we missed the English ciders.  We couldn’t buy the ciders we were craving or find anything like them in Kansas. The following winter we spotted a cider making kit at a store. We bought the kit and made our first batch, just one gallon. It was pretty good, so we made a few more batches. Gradually, we both became more and more infatuated with cider making. We enabled one another to learn more, make more, and buy more equipment.

Five years later, our cider making equipment and supplies consumed our basement living room and closets. The kids were getting older and Denise decided that it was time to pursue her cider making passion. By October 2019, it became official and we registered White Crow Cider Company.

We are an urban cidery, making modern style cider. We wouldn’t make good farmers, so we don’t grow our own apples. We buy fresh pressed apple juice from Kansas orchards and supplement with juice from other states. We enjoy crafting ciders that are easy-drinking and approachable.

While beer reigns king in Middle America, cider is giving drinkers another extraordinary option. We chose the name White Crow because it symbolizes something different and unique. We hope that you love our cider as much as we love creating it.
